BAUK started as a small RAT-style DSP learning experiment. It quickly stopped trying to copy anything and became this heavy and unapologetic amplifier. You still get that RAT-y bite up front, but from there it just goes feral. Multiple preamp voicings shape the front end. Three clipping modes cover tight and modern, asymmetric and gritty, or both in parallel. It doesn’t emulate. It follows instinct.
The DSP for LC_BAUK was designed and written by David Maxim Micic. While inspired by specific classic tones, it wasn’t built to copy any amplifier down to the last component.
It started from inspiration and grew into its own voice, with features and an interface built around his simple, practical workflow.
